The inmate was suffering from apparent blunt force injuries, according to officials.
“Officers immediately rendered aid to the victim” and called medical personnel to the cell, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators alleged that the victim and his cellmate, Ollinger, had a fight.
The former star of Discovery series Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch was rebooked for open murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
Past run-ins with the law
In November 2024, Ollinger was arrested in Texas after he allegedly ran a stop light in front of an unmarked Amarillo police car while driving his motorcycle. He allegedly attempted to flee officers who tried to pull him over, TMZ reported at the time.

Officers caught up with him and he was placed under arrest.
Ollinger, the son of Duane Ollinger, an oil and gas entrepreneur who is the owner of the Blind Frog Ranch in Utah, was charged with evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, and evading arrest/detention on foot, according to the outlet.
After posting bond, he told TMZ after his release: “All I know is this one thing. It was a hell of a ride until I got off of that Harley crossbone.”
Three months later, Ollinger was busted near Pampa, Texas, for driving with an invalid licence with previous convictions, The Pampa News reported.
He was booked into the Gray County Jail in February.
Jail records show that Ollinger has been behind bars since October after being arrested as a fugitive from another state, according to TMZ.
He was sentenced on a contempt charge on Dec. 18 and was scheduled for release on Jan. 12, 2026, KPTV reported.
Ollinger’s next scheduled hearing is Tuesday. He is being held without bond.
