What are the potential outcomes if a rhino charges at an elephant?
If a rhino charged an elephant, this would happen:
In the worst case, this:
Rhinos look strong and tough, but elephants are simply on a whole other level.
White rhinos can weigh from 1,700kg to 2,300kg, which is heavy alright.
But African elephants can weigh upwards of 6,000kg. The rhino is simply outmatched here.
Weapons?
Yes, rhinos have a pointy horn which can definitely gore everything organic.
But elephants have not one, but two pointy tusks that may not be as tough, but still have a longer reach and sharp enough to puncture most hide.
Now, the rhino could obviously score a win if it decides to flank the elephant, but elephants have much better senses and agility, so that’s unlikely to happen.
If a rhino charges an elephant, it’s getting demolished badly.
